Along with the LFACC Animal Control Officers, we rely on you, concerned citizens, to be our eyes and ears in the community and to report animal suffering. If you believe you’ve witnessed a crime involving animals, or if you observe any animal you believe is not receiving proper care, such as lack of food, water, and/or shelter, abandoned or inappropriately left in a vehicle, please contact LFACC at (859) 255-9033 ext. 221 or email

Please understand that the majority of cruelty complaints arise from the simple issues of unknowing neglect, rather than intentional abuse. The biggest role of the LFACC officer is as an educator – informing well-meaning, but unknowledgeable pet owners of the proper pet care.
We all have the important job of ensuring that animals in our community are protected from cruel treatment. Do your part in helping us to protect and care for all animals.
